Dr. Vanessa Power Anderson Dr. Vanessa Power Anderson is a spirit-led motivational speaker and workshop leader who has a heart for college students, women, and the youth. Dr. Anderson’s passion is working in her community and nationally, which she has done for more than 20 years. This involvement led her to develop E.L.L.E. for Life workshops focusing on Education, Literacy, Leadership, and Empowerment that positively impact men, women, and children. She has conducted research on leadership and women’s leadership, and holds a Ph.D. in Leadership from Virginia Tech.
Dr. Robert Former
For more than 25 years, Dr. Robert Fomer has been responsible for providing vision, strategic planning, and leadership in coordinating the mission and goals within a governmental educational organization, churches and at both the college and seminary level. He earned his Doctorate degree in Global Transformational Leadership from Bakke Graduate University in Seattle, Washington in 2009, and is the Founder and Managing Director of Transformational Leadership Forum.
With multiple years of experience in program and project management, software development, and finance in the Healthcare and Telecommunications industries, Ms. Bonner brings a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Colorado at Denver as well as extensive business acumen to the Organization. She is a self-starter, effective at keeping cross-functional teams on track and focused on key business objectives. Ms. Bonner is also skilled at gaining the confidence of customers, delivering projects as committed and managing customer expectations. She has served her community and gained relevant experience during her tenures as a Restorative Justice Facilitator at Resolution Works; Volunteer Mediator at Jefferson County Mediation Services; and Kent Denver School Board of Trustees Finance Committee Member, among other positions.
Barnett J. (B.J.) StewartMr. Stewart is an accomplished operations and financial management leader with a proven track record of delivering strong business results. He is highly adept at building strategic partnerships through effective, collaborative business planning, implementing value-added initiatives, and solving complex business challenges. His professional experience includes business start-up and acquisitions, strategic planning, instilling continuous process improvement, team building, and effective communication and decision-making. Mr. Stewart holds an Executive MBA from the University of Colorado, and is the Founder and President of both The LIFE Bookstore and Paradigm Advisory Services, as well as an Adjunct Instructor at Exchanged Life Ministries and the Finance Director of Berean Bible Church.
Dr. Clarence Shuler
Dr. Shuler is an author, marriage counselor, speaker, and life and relationship coach. He is the President/CEO of BLR: Building Lasting Relationships. For nearly 30 years, Clarence and his wife Brenda have conducted marriage, discipleship, men’s, women’s, and singles’ seminars throughout the United States and internationally. They are members of FamilyLife’s Weekend Getaway Marriage Speaker Team. They’ve taught for The Billy Graham Schools of Evangelism, teaching Managing Marriage/Family & Ministry. Clarence assists the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (Administration for Children & Families) with its National African American Healthy Marriage Initiative and is a member of Coalition for Black Marriages/Families. He’s certified in Marriage Education for Professional Training. As a Life & Relationship Coach, Clarence helps executives experience fulfillment in their personal and professional lives.
Faith-Based & Non-Religious Diversity seminars, a vital aspect of BLR, provide businesses, churches, educational institutions and military desiring to reflect all people within their organizations with Clarence’s forty plus years of professional cross-cultural experience. He’s taught as an adjunct professor at numerous educational institutions. As a Diversity Consultant, he has assisted numerous clients through his diversity seminars and/or hiring people of color and women in decision-making positions. He’s also authored six books. His newest book is Single & Free to Be Me (available April 2013).
Larry B. Jones
The marketplace and ministry areas of service have provided Mr. Jones with a progressive broad-based career with a background in management operations and administration. This unique combination of professional and ministry experience, along with graduate-level theological training, have equipped him to be an effective team leader and teacher. Additionally, it provides Mr. Jones with the ability to successfully lead training ministries, and develop mentoring relationships in order to help people utilize their spiritual gifts in achieving ministry objectives. Mr. Jones holds a Master of Arts in Christian Studies with a focus on Leadership Development from Denver Seminary, as well as certification from Moody Bible College.
Mrs. Rodriguez comes with a background in business and education. She has experience working in both government and public accounting. After doing accounting and consult work for nearly a decade, she pursued her life-long dream of working with children and families. She has now been teaching for over 12 years. Her teaching experience includes having worked as a bilingual teacher in the Denver Public School District for seven years and currently working as a teacher in the North Area of the Cherry Creek School District wherein she works closely with inner-city students, families and community members. She holds an M.A. of Education from the University of Colorado in Boulder. She is actively involved in parent committees such as PTCO & PASS and also heads up H.O.P.E. (Hispanic Opportunities in Public Education) groups which offer leadership training to minority students. Professionally, she is involved in a state-wide Leadership program and continues her passion through Excellence and Equity work for CCSD.
